Hiring someone you have never met, or taking a job from someone you have never met, is an act of trust. This page sets out exactly what the platform does to earn it, and what it does not do.
Who you are dealing with
Accounts
Every account confirms an email address before it can act.
An unconfirmed account cannot be seen or contacted.
Photo badge
Six states, not a yes or a no: not verified, pending, verified, failed, re-verification needed, revoked.
A badge that can only ever be granted is a sticker. This one can be taken back.
Who may grant it
Only the verification service writes a photo badge.
The columns behind it are deliberately closed to ordinary profile updates, so no edit to a profile can quietly award its owner a badge.
Employers
Verified on the same terms as candidates.
The checks below run on both sides of the board.
So watch it check someone.

Confirmed before the account can act. Unverified accounts do not appear.

Reviewed against the profile, and the badge is granted only by the verification service. It is never written by an ordinary profile update.

Requested from named referees, answered directly, and logged.
Fraud scan
- Did the referee reply from the candidate's own address?
- Do several referees share one address?
A badge is not permanent. It can be marked for re-verification, or revoked.

Passwords
Hashed, never stored as text.
Nobody at TalentKonekt can read your password, including us.
Contact details
Not published on your profile.
Contact runs through the platform until you choose otherwise.
References
Answered by the referee, not by the candidate, and every response is logged.
The log is what makes the fraud scan above possible.
Cost
No fee to post a role, and no fee to apply for one.
No placement commission is taken from either side.
